Charges pending after serious injury crash in Murfreesboro
The roadway is blocked in both directions due to the two-car injury crash.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - UPDATE: The Tennessee Highway Patrol said charges are pending for a 53-year-old man after a serious injury crash in Murfreesboro.
THP said 53-year-old Billy Hall could be charged pending the outcome of their investigation into the crash that closed Franklin Road Wednesday morning.
THP said a Dodge Ram being driven by Hall was trying to turn left from the turning lane on Franklin Road and as Hall was making the turn, he “entered the path” of a Nissan Sentra, causing the collision.
Both Hall and the driver of the Nissan, identified as Raul Mercado Cruz, were injured in the crash.
Investigation into the crash is still underway.
PREVIOUS: The Murfreesboro Police Department is investigating a serious injury crash that is causing delays on Wednesday morning.
MPD reports the crash occurred on Franklin Road (Highway 96) at Fortress Boulevard. The roadway is blocked in both directions due to the two-car injury crash.
Motorists should expect traffic delays and are urged to seek alternate routes.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
