Man charged in 2010 West TN murder cold case

TOONE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been charged in a 2010 West Tennessee murder cold case, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
TBI said 40-year-old David Clinton Weaver, of Madison County, TN, has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of Tommie Dean, Jr.
Hardeman County Sheriff’s deputies found Dean shot to death in his home in the 800 block of Clark Lane in Toone on Aug. 27, 2010. That same month, they requested TBI join the investigation into the death.
Weaver was indicted on one count of first-degree murder on Jan. 6, 2025, by the Hardeman County Grand Jury.
He was arrested on Jan. 8 by U.S. Marshals and booked into the Hardeman County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
