CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A parent of a student was arrested and charged with burglary after she allegedly broke into a school with her child, an arrest report says.

On July 16, the Clarksville Police Department responded to Kirkwood High School for an assault.

When police arrived, they spoke to Stacy Fitting, a school staff member who advised police she was assaulted by Sarah Sadler, the parent of a student that morning at about 8:50 a.m.

According to police, the student and Sadler were there to take senior pictures. Fitting said she noticed the parent and the student try to enter the school through the front door. Fitting closed the door. A few moments later she went to ask the parent what her name was.

The parent then allegedly pushed Fitting through the doorway and entered the office, the report said.

Fitting then explained to them that they still could not get all the way into the building from there. She said they would have to leave.

As Sadler left, she allegedly “shoulder-checked” Fitting on the way out causing the items Fitting held to fall.

Sadler was charged with burglary. She was booked on a $1,000 bond.
