Man arrested after targeted road rage shooting against Chancery Court judge
The man was accused of targeting Chancery Court Judge I’Ashea Myles.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) -A 23-year-old man was arrested in the Sept. 11, 2023, road rage shooting on Interstate 440 that targeted a car driven by a Davidson County Chancery Court judge.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department 23-year-old David J. Bush was arrested.
Bush was accused of targeting Chancery Court Judge I’Ashea Myles.
Bush was indicted with attempted murder and one count of reckless endangerment, aggravated assault.
“He is charged with an additional felony reckless endangerment count for the February 10 shooting case,” Police said. “A Criminal Court judge set bond on the 10-count indictment at $500,000.”
On the day of the shooting, Myles was struck by broken glass but was otherwise uninjured. Her front seat passenger suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to her hand and leg. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated.
“At the time of his arrest today, Bush was free on a $125,000 bond stemming from his arrest on March 28 of this year on charges of attempted criminal homicide and felony reckless endangerment,” Police said. “In that road-rage shooting case, a 55-year-old man was critically wounded in the head on Murfreesboro Pike near Harding Place.”
