Teen shot, killed at Hermitage home

Police believe the shooting of the 16-year-old was targeted.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A teenager was shot and killed Saturday night at his home in Hermitage, Metro Nashville Police said.

The shooting happened just after 6:30 p.m. at a home on Hallborough Way.

Police said the victim, a 16-year-old boy, lived at the home where the shooting happened. The teen was shot three times. Witnesses told police they heard four to six gunshots, then saw a couple of vehicles speeding away. Police said they believe the victim was targeted.

There have been no arrests. The shooting remains under investigation.
