2 dead after shooting in Old Hickory
The shooting happened early Sunday morning at about 3:30 a.m. at 109 Fields Dr.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Police are investigating an apparent shooting that left two men dead early Sunday morning.
Metro Nashville Police said they believe one of the victims was responsible for the other’s death.
Police were called to the Fields Drive home in Old Hickory at 4 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses reported there was an argument at a party when Steven Gutierrez, 41, who lives at the home, shoved a 19-year-old man.
Police said the 19-year-old pulled a gun from his waistband and shot Gutierrez multiple times. Gutierrez was taken to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
The 19-year-old, who fled the scene with a group of friends, was dropped off at Summit Medical Center with a single gunshot wound. He died a short time later.
How the 19-year-old was shot is under investigation.
