HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) - Police in Kentucky are investigating after an equipment trailer was stolen from a youth football league.
HCC Bud Hudson Youth Football League posted on their Facebook saying their trailer containing most of the league’s equipment was stolen on Tuesday morning from Pin Oak Drive in Hopkinsville.
The trailer is a 6x12 white enclosed trailer with Arizona license plates. WKDZ Radio reported that the trailer contained $25,000 worth of equipment and that the estimated value of the trailer was $3,500.
“Losing this equipment means a setback for the kids in our community who rely on our league to learn valuable life skills,” Matthew Monday, the league’s commissioner said. “Our goal at HCC Bud Hudson Youth Football League is to provide children with opportunities to build character, develop skills, and grow as individuals through football. This stolen equipment impacts many children in our area, and we are determined to get it back!”
Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to contact the Hopkinsville Police Department at 270-890-1500.
