Man with vast criminal history accused of pistol-whipping woman during robbery in Nashville
According to court records, his criminal history in Davidson County dates back to 1995 on charges of criminal trespassing and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man with a vast criminal history in Davidson County is facing new charges following a robbery where he allegedly pistol-whipped a woman in December, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police said that on Dec. 11, 50-year-old Kenya Lewis became angry with the victim over a property dispute.
Lewis allegedly produced a firearm and struck the victim over the head while saying, “Take all your stuff off.” He then took the victim’s belongings and left, according to the affidavit.
The woman suffered severe lacerations to her head, according to police. On Dec. 30, the victim was able to positively identify Lewis in an MNPD photo lineup.
“The defendant is known to police from previous encounters,” the affidavit stated. Lewis is charged with especially aggravated robbery with a bond set at $150,000.

During the summer of 2024, Lewis was accused of hitting a man in the head and knocking him to the ground during a robbery at Centennial Park. In this incident, the victim told MNPD that Lewis put a gun to his chest and demanded “Give me everything you’ve got,” according to the arrest report.
