LOS ANGELES (CNN) - Los Angeles has declared a state of emergency amid dangerous conditions that have caused cancellations in Hollywood.
The planned Los Angeles premiere on Jan. 7 for the Amazon MGM’s Anthony Robles bio-pic “Unstoppable” in West Hollywood was canceled amid fires fueled by a windstorm.
That includes a blaze in nearby Pacific Palisades that grew quickly to more than 1,200 acres.
The wildfire is destroying homes, prompting evacuation orders for tens of thousands of people and pouring smoke into the Los Angeles sky.
The Hollywood premiere of Universal’s “Wolf Man” was also canceled Tuesday due to the fires and high winds.
