MMA superstars wear ‘Covenant’ hats at UFC 298 to support school shooting victims
“We are raising funds for the Covenant school for ongoing resources support for the victims of the school shooting that happened last year.”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - One of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s most exciting fighters, who also calls Nashville home, was wearing a “Covenant” hat at the sport’s massive fight card Saturday night.
Michael Chandler was in the crowd watching UFC 298 wearing a hat with “Covenant” printed on the front.
When asked about it on social media, Chandler explained his mission to raise funds for The Covenant School after a school shooting that left six dead last year.

“We are raising funds for the Covenant school for ongoing resources support for the victims of the school shooting that happened last year. It happened in my community less than a mile from my house. The Hats go on sale March 1,” he said.
Another UFC Lightweight fighter and one-time opponent of Chandler, Justin Gaethje, also wore a “Covenant” hat to support Chandler’s cause at UFC 298.
