NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Over the weekend, Judge I’Ashea Myles entered a new order in an attempt to deter any more pages of the Covenant School shooter’s writings from being leaked to the public.
The order blocks all parties from filing as part of the record in the case copies of three pages leaked online by a podcaster in November.
Judge Myles will allow parties to refer to the leaked documents in court and filings; however, she does not want copies in the public record, fearing that doing so would incentivize further document leaks by the original leaker, putting records that are currently under seal and at the center of the public records lawsuit, into the public eye.

Myles also scheduled a new hearing to determine whether the shooter’s writings will be released or not — it’s scheduled for March 8. During that hearing arguments will be heard on two motions:
- One in which the attorney for Clata Brewer wants to file under seal a privilege log, listing all of the documents that currently only lawyers in the case and the judge can see and read.
- The second motion is asking the court to clarify an early ruling barring lawyers from filing documents that contain “direct information” about any of the shooter’s writings or investigative police records under seal.
Both, according to WSMV4 Investigative Reporter Stacey Cameron, are house-keeping motions that lawyers want to simplify what can be discussed publicly in court and filings, without violating any of the judge’s orders about sealed information.
Steven Crowder, host of “Louder with Crowder,” released three photos of writings in notebooks. Crowder claims they are images of the shooter’s writings. A source confirmed to WSMV4 that those images were indeed from the shooter.
In the leaked images of the writings, the shooter mentioned killing children and wrote a timeline of their plan for the day of the shooting.
