Fireworks, food trucks, fun: Gallatin Fourth of July celebration on Thursday

GALLATIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – The City of Gallatin has announced plans for its July 4 celebration.

The 2024 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks event will happen this Thursday, July 4 at Triple Creek Park. Festivities will start at 4 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.

“The fireworks show is 22 minutes long and includes 1,160 shells ranging from 2 ½” to 6″, which can reach 600 feet in the air,” the city said in a media release.

The event features food trucks and activities for children, including Andre’s Barbecue, Bare Butt BBQ, The Bee’s Knees, Cantrell’s Grill, Carni Boss, Chao Fan, The Copper Kettle, Kona Ice, The Local Lemon, NyTy’s Lemonade, Papa Doo & Mama D’s Unique Funnel Cakes, Persian Flame, Smoke Boss, Sherrylynn’s Concessions, Smokeville928, Soul of the City, and TyKobe’s Italian Ice and Ice Cream.

The Gallatin Fire Department will bring back a “bubble mountain,” a 50′ wide by 10′ high soap foam play area. The bubbles will start at 5 p.m. and will continue for approximately an hour.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to park within Triple Creek Park. Once the parking lots are full, or 30 minutes before the event, the park entrance will be closed. Those arriving late should consider parking at the Gallatin Civic Center or the Municipal Park, which is about a 20-minute walk.
