SusieCakes' Pecan Pie Filling Home Baker Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 unbaked 9” pie shell
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- ½ c. dark brown sugar, packed
- 3 eggs, large
- 4 T. butter, melted, room temperature
- 1 ¼ t. real vanilla extract
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 3/4 c. whole pecan
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Whisk corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended and smooth.
- Place pie crust on a baking sheet and evenly place whole pecans inside shell.
- Pour mixture into the pie crust.
- Bake 50-55 minutes. Center filling should spring back lightly. Crust should be golden brown. Tent pie crust if it becomes too dark.
- Remove from oven, cool on wire rack.
