SusieCakes' Pecan Pie Filling Home Baker Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 unbaked 9” pie shell
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • ½ c. dark brown sugar, packed
  • 3 eggs, large
  • 4 T. butter, melted, room temperature
  • 1 ¼ t. real vanilla extract
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 3/4 c. whole pecan

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Whisk corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended and smooth.
  3. Place pie crust on a baking sheet and evenly place whole pecans inside shell.
  4. Pour mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Bake 50-55 minutes. Center filling should spring back lightly. Crust should be golden brown. Tent pie crust if it becomes too dark.
  6. Remove from oven, cool on wire rack.
