2 injured after apparent shootout in Antioch, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update: Two people were injured during an apparent shootout in Antioch on Tuesday afternoon, according to Metro Nashville police.
Police said one victim in his early twenties was found with a gunshot wound to his leg and is being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Another victim in his early twenties showed up at TriStar Century Farms Emergency Room with life-threatening injuries shortly after the shooting.
The shooting happened in the 6000 block of Mt. View Road before 3:45 p.m. At the scene, officers found shell casings that originated from a rifle and handgun scattered everywhere, MNPD said.
MNPD reports a gunfight ensued with two separate parties. How many people were involved is still being determined. No one is in custody at this time.
Callers told dispatch they heard dozens and dozens of shots at about 3:40 p.m.
Neighbors told WSMV4 that one of the victims pulled into a house and that’s when people allegedly jumped out from all corners and began firing shots. The neighbors said a major shootout took place and once it was over, two people allegedly entered the home and then scattered.

Officers responded to the 6000 block of Mt. View Road in Antioch just before 3:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting.
Police said callers reported hearing multiple gunshots with multiple suspects involved. One person was struck in the leg during the gunfire.
Officers found a 19-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the left, applied a tourniquet and transported him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
