Man killed at KY gas station after possible attempted carjacking
The incident happened at the Pilot Travel Canter in Oak Grove on Saturday morning.
OAK GROVE, Ky. (WSMV) - A man was killed at a gas station in Kentucky after a possible attempted carjacking, according to WKDZ Radio.
WKDZ reported that Oak Grove Police responded to the Pilot Travel Center on Pembroke Oak Grove Road on Saturday morning for reports of a shooting.
A man was shot at least once and killed after what police believe to be an attempted carjacking, WKDZ said. OGPD said the suspect was attempting to steal the victim’s van when the shooting occurred.
A witness then pursued the vehicle the suspect fled the scene in, but no arrests have been made at this time.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies and OGPD officers performed CPR on the victim when they arrived on scene, but he was not able to be revived, WKDZ said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner
