Lauren Walsh

Lauren Walsh is a sports anchor and reporter for WSMV4. She joined the team in August 2023.
Lauren comes to Nashville from WXII 12 News in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she was the station's sports director in a bustling athletic community. She led WXII's coverage from high school football to ACC basketball, to Panthers and Hurricanes. Lauren has also worked as a sports anchor/reporter in Burlington, Vermont and Syracuse, New York.
She has had the opportunity to cover March Madness and the Final Four, Stanley Cup Playoffs, NASCAR, the ACC football championship, and Hall of Fame college basketball coaches.
Lauren is extremely passionate about finding and telling unique and meaningful stories within her sports coverage, and can't wait to uncover those stories in the Mid-State.
Growing up in Medford, Massachusetts, Lauren not only played a variety of sports, but also saw her Boston teams win many championships (12 to be exact) in her lifetime.
She is a proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Go Orange!
In her free time, Lauren enjoys playing soccer, hitting the gym, watching reality TV, reading, and exploring Nashville.
