Storm cleanup begins in Middle Tennessee

In the aftermath of Wednesday’s storm, the cleanup begins in parts of Middle Tennessee. Crews get to work on fixing the damage on Thursday morning.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - In the aftermath of Wednesday’s storm, the cleanup begins in parts of Middle Tennessee. Crews get to work on fixing the damage on Thursday morning.

Here are some areas that dealt with storm damage in the region:

Davidson County

- Harpeth Bend Drive saw trees down on Highway 100 and across front lawns.

Williamson County

- The 4300 block of Old Hillsboro Road has reopened after reports of downed power lines in the downtown area of Leiper’s Fork.

- Brentwood reported 11 locations with trees and power lines down. At 306 Appomattox, there are currently wires on a house and a tree on the house at 5405 Mcgavock.

- In Brentwood, the southbound side of Franklin Road between Williamsburg and Wilson Pike is expected to remain closed until noon. NES crews are working to restore power from a downed line.

- Wilson Pike remains closed at the railroad tunnel near Clovercroft due to high water.

- Trees and power lines were down in Franklin.

Rutherford County

- Tank Street is closed from Sam Davis to Lowry after Smyrna PD reported downed power lines and trees.

- Winds blew the roof off of a small business behind a Photography Studio in Smyrna. Adjacent businesses were also damaged in the storms.

- Murfreesboro reported power lines down on NW Broad near Treemont as well as a tree that has fallen on a house on East Vine Street.

Maury County

- In Columbia, a tree collapsed onto a home located at 905 Camellia Drive, causing the structure to collapse. There was also damage reported at the Oak View Apartments on Oxford Village Circle that crews attended to on Wednesday evening.

Perry County

- Smoke n’ Willies on East School Street in Linden experienced heavy damage. The roof from a nearby liquor store was blown off in the storm and landed on the old Rusty Fish Hook restaurant Willies was using. Luckily, Willies owners stopped using the restaurant building on April 1, to focus on their food truck. No one was injured from the damage.

Robertson County

- Smokey Barn News said that crews responded to reports of downed trees around the county. A home located in the 2600 Block of Osborn Road in Greenbrier sustained some damage along with a vehicle.

- Nashville Electric Service and Middle Tennessee Electric were checking on downed power lines and working to restore power to affected areas on Thursday morning.
