Hit and run hurts pedestrian in Clarksville

A driver found the woman in the road after she had been hit by a car, according to Clarksville PD.
The victim is reportedly stable with non-life-threatening injuries.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman was hit by a car that left the scene in Clarksville early Friday morning.

The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. on Ringgold Road in front of the Post Office on Ft. Campbell Boulevard, according to the Clarksville Police Department.

The eastbound lane of Ringgold Road was shut down while authorities investigated the incident.

Clarksville PD said a driver found the woman on the road after she had been hit by a car.

The woman was taken to Tennova Health Center but the extent of her injuries is unknown.

The fatal accident crash team responded to the scene.
