NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - In December, Belmont University’s Fisher Center will host the beloved holiday concert, “Christmas at Belmont Live from Nashville.”

But for the first time, a global audience can watch it too -- streamed on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Music.

The show is made up of more than 600 Belmont student musicians and singers.

The lighting and audio are also run by students as part of the stage crew.

Several popular artists, who are Belmont alumni, will also perform.

“Having us streamed on Amazon Prime is unique within itself,” said Artistic Director Dr. Jeffery Ames, who is now in his 15th year spearheading the show. “It’s kind of given us nine months to a year to try to think of ways that we can freshen the look and freshen up the show to give it a stronger impact. I think you’re going to see that this year.”

Ames says the makeup of mass symphony and chorale pieces, various student ensembles, and diverse musical styles also makes the show unique.

“Christmas at Belmont Live from Nashville” will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Music on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 7p.m. (CT).
