Smyrna woman celebrates 100th birthday
Uphoff is excited to celebrate her centennial birthday with friends and family.

SMYRNA, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Smyrna woman will turn 100 years old on Thursday but has not let age slow her down.
Lois Uphoff stays mobile and in touch with her neighbors by riding around on her scooter she affectionately calls “Bessy.” Uphoff prides herself on still being able to live alone, drive her car and balance her checkbook every month.
Mindy Baggett, Uphoff’s daughter, said, “I am truly blessed to have her all these years.”
Baggett said that Uphoff is excited to celebrate her centennial birthday by celebrating with friends and family.
