Man indicted after allegedly killing wife, burying her body more than 50 miles away

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man is facing felony first-degree murder and evidence tampering indictments after he allegedly beat his wife to death with a hammer on New Year’s Day in Nashville before burying her body more than 50 miles away.
Joseph Glynn is charged with murder in the death of his 76-year-old wife Jackie. He was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and evidence tampering.

Metro Nashville police said Glynn, 70, admitted to hitting his wife in the head with a hammer and driving to Smithville to dispose of her body. Jackie’s body was found covered in a six-foot grave.
